Our festive half marathon is back for 2026! See more of London's festive lights and sights than ever before on our most festive route yet, guided along the way by audio directions triggered by your GPS location.
As you jingle through 13.1 miles of yuletide joy on a specially curated route, you'll discover more about the world's most iconic lights through an audio guide that keeps you going along the way. Optional festive bauble/medal on completion.
AUDIO TOUR
How does it work?
1. SIGN UP
Book asap to guarantee your spot. You'll receive instructions and a code to unlock the Christmas Lights Half Marathon in an app that we're using called Voicemap.
2. CHOOSE A DATE/TIME
Choose any day between Monday November 23rd and Monday January 4th.
3. ON THE DAY
On your chosen day, head to the start location (near London Victoria station), plug your headphones in and press GO in the Voicemap app. You'll get your first audio direction in your headphones.
4. FOLLOW THE AUDIO DIRECTIONS
Keep following the directions, guiding you through 13.1 miles of London's Christmas lights. You'll also get commentary about the lights and their history.
5. CELEBRATE
You'll finish the tour at Liverpool Street station. Send us your finisher pics for our online Finisher's Gallery. If you book with a finisher bauble medal, you'll receive that prior to running so you can unwrap it at the finish line.
We've been leading in-person guided 10ks and 5ks of London's Christmas lights for over a decade with over 2000 people joining us to run last year's Christmas lights. So that we can hit more lights in one go, whilst also accommodating varying paces over a half marathon distance, we're embracing GPS audio technology to provide a half marathon running tour. And we can't wait for you to join us!
