WHAT IS A GPS AUDIO TOUR?🎧👟
Our GPS audio guided routes enable you to experience a Secret London Runs tour on a date and time of your choice, through innovative GPS technology.
All you need to do is download the tour and make your way to the start point. Plug in your headphones, and our pre-recorded audio directions will guide you through the route, keeping you company all the way round with commentary and insight about the history of the areas that you're running through.
The tours can be run at your chosen pace, and can be split into sections if you prefer - simply stop the tour and you can resume it any time you want.
We offer our GPS tours on a number of themes, from London's bridges, closed down "Ghost Tube" stations, Henry VIII's Wives and Cambridge's famous colleges. All are available to run at a time and date convenient to you!

GET READY
Sign up for your chosen tour and you'll receive a unique download code. Download it onto your device before your run.
ON THE DAY
Head to the start location (all are near to public transport) on your chosen date and time. Simply open the VoiceMap app, put your headphones on and hit "go" - you'll hear your first set of instructions.
ALONG THE WAY
Triggered by your GPS location, you'll receive directions and commentary about your surroundings and the sights you're seeing along the way.
WHEN YOU FINISH
All our GPS tours end at or near to public transport. Send us your finisher pics for our online Finisher's Gallery. You can also choose to receive a fantastic medal that will be sent to you upon completion.

Run the Thames Bridges half marathon and 10k

We challenge you to run a half marathon or 10k over the Thames bridges in a unique self-guided audio tour that takes you through the history of the glorious River Thames, its bridges and the development of our capital along its banks.
As you cross over every bridge possible along the route, you'll enjoy some of the best views of London, discover their history and get a unique training run in the bag.
Run the Ghost Tubes half marathon and 10k

This audio-guided running tour will take you on an adventure through some of London's spookiest sights. Over a half marathon or 10km distance, you'll run (above ground) between the closed down 'ghost tube' stations that have stood disused and forgotten for decades.
Taking you to 11 (half marathon) or 7 (10k) ghost tube stations in total, your GPS location will trigger directions through your headphones. You'll also get audio commentary that reveals the secret past of the forgotten stations of the world's oldest underground railway.
Henry VIII's Wives Half Marathon

In this exploration of London's hidden Tudor history, you'll uncover the lives of Henry VIII's six wives on a sight-filled 21km route.
As you journey from Greenwich to Whitehall, you'll explore the key places that played a part in the lives of each of the queens, finding out more about their fascinating lives along the way.

Run the Cambridge Colleges Half Marathon

Join Secret London Runs for our latest audio-guided running tour, and our very first outside London!
This picturesque half marathon route will lead you through all 31 colleges, explaining their history and pointing out other notable Cambridge sights.
Sign up today and take on the challenge, at your own pace between 2nd March and 31st December 2026 with an optional finisher medal upon completion.
