Your Mission
Travel back to 1611 in the aftermath of a terrible and puzzling murder.
Will you be the fastest team to make it round the 10km course and solve the crime?
In a run full or renowned actors (such as Richard Burbage, Will Kemp and of course Shakespeare himself), famous theatres and precious scripts, you'll need to run between the clues to hunt for motive, means and opportunity.
Hunt down witnesses and give them a grilling. You'll find suspects too who need a thorough interrogation.
Whether you're super fast or want to power walk round, it's time to get out of the galleries and onto the stage in this immersive run through the heart of Shakespeare's London.

Do I have to run?
No. Our events are about mental and physical agility, but above all, fun. The winner is the fastest to correctly solve the puzzle. So you might be in with a chance you solve the clues faster whilst walking the route. The challenge is self-guided so you and your team can make your way round the run with a map to guide you at your own pace.
How many people per team?
You can go it alone, in pairs, or in groups of up to 6. Pairs are our most common team size.
Do I have to come with a team?
Not at all. If you already have a group then please just all arrive together on the day ready for your briefing. Otherwise, please arrive at the appropriate time for your pace (see next question) and we'll join you up with other detectives.
Can I arrive any time between 11am and 12pm?
The start is staggered to ensure the course doesn't get too congested. We ask you to arrive at the secret start location based on your running pace:
11am -11:20am: Walking sleuths
11:20am -11:50am: Jogging detectives
11:50am - 12pm: Sprinting Sherlocks
Sticking to these time brackets really helps us organise the event and make it fun for everybody.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself, comfy shoes and a charged phone with data. And your team if you have one. Oh, and don't forget your detectives hat and a small backpack/bumbag for your clues.
Is there a bag drop?
Sorry - there isn't a bag drop at this event for logistical reasons. We recommend packing light and bringing a small backpack.
Are there prizes?
Oh yes. They are announced by email the next day.
What about this secret meeting point?
You'll receive an email from your mystery detective in the 24 hours leading up to the run with the exact meet location. It will be less than 10 minutes away from London Bridge and Southwark tube station.
What's the minimum age?
Over 14s are welcome if accompanied by an adult at all times. There may be adult themes in the run.
