Meeting/Finishing Points and Route
10k Route Start
The Roman Statue outside half way up the steps outside Tower Hill Tube Station
5k Route Start
Outside Temple Tube Station
5k & 10k Route End: Marble Arch Tube Station
These routes are the only way to tick off all of London's most famous festive attractions - Carnaby Street, Regent's Street, the tree at Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Seven Dials and much more!
Rest assured, we pick routes that avoid the busy crowds as much as possible
Please arrive at your meeting point in plenty of time. Your guide will be there before the start time to give you a disclaimer to sign and your festive hats. The group will leave the meeting point 5 minutes after the time on your tickets, no later.
If you're late, I'm afraid we can't have the rest of the group wait around for you. Nor can we have you join us later round the course. Your guides are responsible for ensuring that their groups run through central London safely and have a good time, and can't also negotiate latecomers on the move. We won't be circulating the contact number of your guide for this reason.
Pacing and Speeds
Yule Jog is a guided running tour. You will be running in small groups (20 or less) following a guide. Therefore we've provided a guide pace for each run based on the pace that you usually run at.
5k Pace Guides
Fast - you usually run 5k in under 30 mins
Medium - you usually run 5k in 30-35 mins
Gentle - you usually run 5k in 35 mins+
10k Pace Guides
Fast - you usually run 10k in under 1 hr
Medium - you usually run 10k in 1hr - 1 hr 10 mins
Gentle - you usually run 10k in about 1 hr 15 mins
Worried about staying with your friends? Please don't - if we break off into smaller groups, you'll be able to choose which guide you go with on the day.
What if I'm too fast for my group?
The group needs to stay together, so we ask that you are considerate to other runners who aren't as lucky as you in the pace department.
What if I'm too slow for my group?
Although our guides are trained to help and encourage you if you are struggling, we ask that you double check that you are comfortable with the pace you've signed up for so that the rest of the group aren't waiting for you.
I think I've signed up for the wrong group - what shall I do?
Contact us at least 7 days before your tour and we'll do our very best to get you onto a suitable tour. Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We'll be stopping lots for photos and Christmas history, right?
There will be plenty of opportunities for you to catch your breath, but there are also some longer stints of running that will be at the guided pace of the day. You should be prepared to run at this pace.
Is there a bag drop?
No - sorry. We advise packing light and bringing a backpack!
Will there be time for photos?
Your guide will stop at all the most beautiful displays for you to take photos. To help keep the group together, we politely request that you wait until these moments for the bulk of your photography.
What to wear?
Trainers and sports/running clothes that are comfortable to run in. And remember it is likely to be cold so dress appropriately!
Festive fancy dress not compulsory but highly encouraged!
What's your refund policy?
Unfortunately due to it being a busy time of year we are unable to offer refunds or transfers for this event - so please ensure you book the right pace and date!
Won't it be busy?
We've designed a route that tries to avoid bottlenecks in Christmassy London. However, the Christmas lights are in some of the busiest areas of London and we might hit some crowds. We ask runners to stay together during these times.
