About the event

We're so excited to be twinkling through London's Christmas sights with Wicericay this year.

Every year the streets of London are transformed by a series of lights, trees, markets and window displays. This guided running tour takes you through the  highlights in the City of London and Borough, with festive tunes pumping as we go-ho-ho!

What's included

  • See all the festive sights in the City of London and Borough
  • Festive tunes as you go-ho-ho
  • Your own private Christmas-loving run guide
  • Loads of photo ops (we'll get some group pics for you too)

Route highlights

  • Borough Market
  • Tower Bridge
  • Leadenhall Market tree
  • The Hay Galleria
  • St Paul's Cathedral
  • Lots more of the big displays and hidden gems along the way.

Where to meet

The tour starts and ends at London Bridge Station, (where you can use their excellent public toilets.) Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of your tour, ready to run.

Pace

This is not a race. Nobody is aiming for a PB as we jingle through the Christmas lights. We run at a pace that everyone is comfortable with - and no one gets left behind. That said, please make sure that you're able to gently jog 5k (with breathers), as if you need to walk large sections of the tour, so will the rest of your club.

Will we stop at the lights?

Yes - we stop to admire the lights, take photos and give you a little bit of festive history too.

Duration

The tour usually takes about 1 hours, but it varies depending on the pace of the gentlest runner in the group, the number of pictures you'd like taken and how many questions you have for your guide. So if you're booking dinner/trains, allow at least 1.5 hours for the tour to make sure you're not rushing.

What to wear

Festive fancy dress / Christmas leggings & hats very much encouraged. Please make sure you're wearing enough for the tour which is stop-start by nature.

Can't wait to jingle all the 5k with you!
