Over a 7km running tour, celebrate the amazing history of Brixton, and the black people behind it who fought for civil rights. Along the route, we'll be stopping at places linked to the institutions and individuals who fought for change and make Brixton what it is today.

About the event

Over a 7km running tour, celebrate the amazing history of Brixton, and the black people behind it who fought for civil rights. Along the route, we'll be stopping at places linked to the institutions and individuals who fought for change and make Brixton what it is today. This tour is in collaboration with Black Girls do Run UK and will be co-led by Tasha (the founder of Black Girls do Run UK) and Vanessa (the founder of Secret London Runs).

Start/end - Brixton station, meet on Tunstall Road near the David Bowie mural (just opposite the station exit).

Date: Saturday 1st October, 2pm

Length: 7k / 4 miles

Time: Approx 1.5-2 hours (can vary depending on pace and number of questions)

Tickets include: Guided tour, digital photos, finish-line snack, info about the people on the tour circulated afterwards.

Tickets: £15, all ticket sales will go to Black Minds do Matter UK.

Pace: This tour is for all paces of runner. We'll run at the pace of the gentlest runner in our group. NOBODY gets left behind.
