Starting at London's first ever coffeehouse, you'll explore the coffee craze that seized our capital in the 17th and 18th centuries. Discover how the caffeine-fuelled debates in the many coffeehouses of London curiously shaped the modern world - politics, inventions and financial trading!
Uncover the enemies of the coffeehouses, the famous characters from history who frequented them, and the reason for their eventual decline.
Of course, we'll be stopping for a mid-run espresso and a artisan coffee at the end.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
We went on the gin run with Ian our guide last Saturday and had a great time! He was so friendly, knowledgeable, and we can't recommend it enough as a fun and different activity. We learnt lots about London and gin and have already raved about it to our friends. We'd definitely come on another running tour soon. Thank you!
Really fun, informative and interesting way to run a 10k, discovering areas of London that you wouldn’t normally see, as well as visiting some of the more famous landmarks. Ian was a perfect group leader/guide. Thoroughly recommended.
THE CAREYS, WEST SUSSEX
Ian, a history teacher, was our guide, who had lots of fascinating information on the history of the areas we ran through. I ran this with a friend as a birthday present for her, and she was delighted. A great gift for running friends and a treat to run oneself! Highly recommended, will book again.
SUZANNA FITZPATRICK, GREATER LONDON
The Coffee Revolution is brand new for 2019 - so we're still waiting our first review. But here are some reviews of Secret London Runs, and our guide Ian, who has written this tour.
REALLY FUN, INFORMATIVE AND INTERESTING!
